Hannah and I are excited and delighted to announce that we were awarded a Spring 2017 Sparkplug Foundation Grant for our upcoming recording project! This award, plus the Indiegogo campaign and private donors on Fractured Atlas, brings our total funding up to nearly $13,000, and makes the rest of the recording costs attainable for our individual budgets. Such great news! There are some really cool projects on their website that they have funded, so check them out:
Our Indiegogo campaign is live! We have lots of different perks to offer our backers and are excited about all of them. Check out our campaign video:

After being in and out of town for much of the fall, I’m enjoying staying in one place for a little while, and I know that Huntsville Ballet is also enjoying me being available for a longer length of time. Playing for ballet class is one of my favorite things: discovering what each teacher’s musical preferences are and searching new music for every class keeps the work fresh. The students are all gearing up for their end-of-year school performances, and one of the younger classes is doing a collaboration with the young boy’s class. They are so adorable!
As January arrives, Hannah and I are gearing up for the upcoming recording session in July by applying for all the grants we can find - it’s been a pretty writing-intensive few months. Late fall, we applied for the Society of American Music subvention, the Copland Fund, the New Music USA Project Grants, the Sparkplug Foundation grant, and prepared our Indiegogo campaign to go live on February 1st. It’s been fun, but I’m glad we are going to just be in the waiting game for a little while.
